Our chain shanks are well constructed for functionality without compromising that handsome Kentucky handcrafted appearance. Our chain shanks are a step above the rest featuring genuine English solid brass chains or stainless steel chains that are triple stitched to the leather strap. Each shank is hand made from the same high quality bridle leather we use to manufacture our halters and hand rubbed for that elegant finish. Once we've assembled the shank, we then go back and cover the chain with a soft leather, the same leather we used in our Padded Leather goods. The leather covering provides a milder restraint and may be more aesthetically pleasing. Each shank measures 1" wide and approximately 7' in length. Available in dark brown or black leather with your choice of solid brass or stainless steel chain (stainless steel chain is not available in 12" length).
